A W Nevile Ltd, trading as Thorpe Farm Repairs, was established in Thorpe on the Hill to service Mr A W Nevile’s and neighbouring farms.  On or around 1976 it was relocated to its currently location in Whisby.

In 1995, Frank Harris was employed to manage Thorpe Farm Repairs and the business evolved.  Over the years, many of the smaller farms have stopped trading and the larger farms didn’t use Thorpe Farm. Other products were then introduced to the store including horse and dog food, and the hire side was established when the first hire manure spreader was purchased.  Eventually, the name was changed to TFM Country Store as the business was doing less and less in the farming world and hadn’t been located in Thorpe for some decades.  In 2012, Mr A W Nevile (with his wife’s blessing) left Frank the business in his Will as he felt if Frank hadn’t evolved the business then it would have closed on his passing.

In June 2023 Frank passed away leaving his daughter Nikki and grand daughter Louise running the business for the family.
